Never Again installation was on display at the L.A. Historic Park for L.A. Freewaves Ain’t I a Womxn, A Genders Promenade on July 18, 2018. Designed by Joan “Zeta” Zamora, the installation dealt with reproductive rights and heartbreak. Never Again was was also inspired by the Ms. magazine publishing of the graphic photo of a woman who died of a botched abortion. Her lover performed the illegal abortion on her. As she started hemorrhaging he panicked and left her to bleed to death. A version of this photo can be seen printed on the pillows. At the day of the even the bed was “bleeding” at the center of the bed. July, 2018.
